Teacup is perhaps the tiniest lake I have seen in my life - a little spot of water surrounded by ski trails on Mt. Hood in Oregon. In this fine clip, three Olympic hopefuls brave avalanche weather and reach for the chance to live their dreams. (like the music? i made it.)

beyond bedtime

I came home from my editing class tonight, fully committed to sliding into bed as soon as I could, and getting up tomorrow for 6:30 am yoga. It is now 11:22 pm, and I am sitting slumped over my computer working on a mean case of carpal tunnel. Yoga, I'm afraid, will have to wait until a less ungodly hour in the morning.
